This was a garage reroof we had performed about 4 years ago. We removed an old tar and gravel roof and installed a new Soprema torch on roof system. The customer was very happy with our service and immediately contacted us when an issue arose. The roof is still under warranty and it has been providing service as it should with no requirements until now.
Plugged drains can be a bigger issue then just water flowing over the edge. Depending on the design of the roof, a plugged drain can lead to a substantial and even catastrophic amount of water entering the premise. With the design of this roof the water just drained over the side. Not a big issue. It is noted in the Warranty Certificate, we present our customer with, that roof maintenance such as cleaning roofs and drains are the responsibility of the home owner. It is suggested that Crucial be contacted for a maintenance check up once every 3 years on our new roofs. If your roof is older than 10 years, we recommend once every 2 years and if your roof is over 15 years old then we should be looking at it every year before the rainy seasons begin.
